Mission: Reduce plastic waste in homes, landfills, and oceans 

Duties 

Daily responsibilities to start, include but are not limited to: 

  • Inspect, fold and package product in a timely manner, adhering to quality and efficiency standards 
  • Maintain an efficient, clean, and safe area and workshop 
  • As directed, assist with any other tasks needed to help keep Production running smoothly 

As an employee’s skills improve and they display an aptitude to take on more responsibilities, they might be called upon  to do a variety of other tasks including but not limited to: 

  • Assist with waxing  
  • Cut waxed fabric 
  • Assist with inventory counts 
  • Box building and printing labels 
  • Quality assurance 
  • Identify improvements in the end-to-end production cycle 
  • Document end to end processes 

Tasks may need to be performed that initially appear to be out of the scope of this position but are required to make the  workflow more efficient. Overall flexibility is key. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Great work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to doing quality work 
  • Good interpersonal communication skills 
  • Ability to work independently and as a team 
  • Ability to learn and meet production standards for quality and speed; strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt to changes common in a growth environment 
  • Ability to sit for most of the day when folding and packaging, or stand for a couple of hours at a time when  waxing, cutting, or performing other production duties 
  • Ability to be punctual and adhere to a set schedule, initially set to be 7am to 3:30 pm (M-F)

Movement: The job may entail various repetitive physical activities, including sitting, standing, walking, using hands for  tasks, reaching, stooping, and crouching. 

Communication: English language proficiency required. 

Strength: The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing more than fifty pounds with assistance. 

Vision: Specific vision abilities are required encompassing close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision,  depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. 

Instructions: The employee should have the ability to follow both written and oral instructions and procedures.
